Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms

Detailed Directions and Instructions

Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the Mushrooms

Remove the stems from the mushrooms and set the caps aside. Dice the stems finely.

Cook the Sausage

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned. Use a spatula to break it up into smaller pieces as it cooks.

Sauté the Mushroom Stems

Add the diced mushroom stems to the skillet with the sausage and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until softened.

Add Additional Ingredients

Stir in cream cheese, garlic, Italian seasoning, and half of the Parmesan cheese. Mix until everything is well combined.

Stuff the Mushroom Caps

Fill each mushroom cap generously with the sausage mixture.

Add Toppings

Sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese on top of the stuffed mushrooms.

Bake the Mushrooms

Place the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, until the mushrooms are tender and the tops are golden.

Serve and Enjoy

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
