Detailed Directions and Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Sauce
In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat, breaking it up as it cooks. Once fully cooked, drain excess grease.
Step 2: Add the Sauce
Stir in marinara sauce with the cooked beef. Simmer for about 10 minutes to meld flavors.
Step 3: Prepare Cream Cheese Mixture
In a bowl, combine softened cream cheese, ricotta cheese, and egg. Mix until smooth and creamy.
Step 4: Boil the Noodles
Cook lasagna noodles in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Step 5: Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Step 6: Layer the Ingredients
In a 9×13 inch baking dish, start with a layer of the sauce on the bottom. Add a layer of noodles, followed by the cream cheese mixture, and then repeat the layers two more times. Finish with remaining sauce on top.
Step 7: Add Cheese
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese generously over the top of the lasagna.
Step 8: Bake
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the cheese is bubbling and golden.
Step 9: Cool and Serve
Allow the lasagna to cool for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.

Note 3: Storage
Leftover lasagna can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or frozen for longer storage.
Note 4: Reheating
Reheat leftovers in the oven covered with foil to maintain moisture, or microwave in individual servings.
